What is Yodle.org?

Over the last 5 years, we at Yodle have worked with thousands of local business owners, and we've gotten to know what they care about. Giving back to the local community is high up on the list. Inspired by our local business customers, Yodle has taken on the task of learning how we can give back to our local office communities. This site is the virtual home of the charitable efforts made by the more than 300 Yodlers around the country. On Yodle.org you will find events and stories of Yodlers in their local communities giving back. Take a look around!

Yodle Boston LEED Silver Certified

Nov 22 2010

yodleIn July, Yodle's Boston team found a new home at 179 Lincoln Street in the XYZ neighborhood. Not only was this officer bigger and better, but it also represents Yodle’s commitment to bettering the community. 179 Lincoln St is a LEED Silver Certified building! The building owners focused on several categories to become LEED certified including energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impact.

From the minute you walk through the revolving door (to conserve the A/C in the summer and heat in the winter) signs of the building’s commitment to reducing our global footprint are evident. Rooms are equipped with motion sensors controlling the lights, the bathrooms have dual flush toilets which reduce the amount of water being used, and the building offers bicycle parking and showers to encourage residents to bike to work. The Yodle office has recycling bins by each Yodler's desk, in the kitchen to reduce the waste of soda cans and plastic bottles, and we encourage our teams to reuse scrap paper. As we grow and develop as a team and office, we are committed to further finding ways to reduce our negative impact on the environment.
